£13,500 per annum (£22,500 pro rata)

We have an excellent opportunity for a part time Accounts Assistant to join our small and busy finance team based at our offices at Lakeside House, Northampton, assisting in all aspects of Purchase Ledger.

This part-time position will offer 22.5 hours over 3 days per week across Monday – Friday. We can be flexible on working hours and days.

The role

You’ll have full responsibility for the accurate management of our Purchase Ledger function and you’ll assist in the preparation of timely, accurate and relevant financial information to internal and external stakeholders. This includes:

  • Raising purchase orders
  • Accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Management of fixed assets register and running depreciation
  • Regular reconciliations of supplier statements
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to reconcile discrepancies and to resolve invoice queries within agreed time scales
  • Collation of supplier payment runs
  • Ad hoc report analysis and month end processes

About you

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience in an a similar role and who is:

  • Self motivated and highly organised
  • A team player – you’ll need a positive attitude, be flexible and be prepared help others in the team when we’re busy
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of current financial systems – previous knowledge of Xero would be an advantage
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel and Google applications
  • Great attention to detail and communication skills
