New online platform introduced for 5000+ Military Vehicle Trust members

The Military Vehicle Trust (MVT) has worked with Novacroft to launch a new online membership application system, membership card production process and customer helpline; improving the member experience and creating new income streams for the charity.

The new customer support tools are bringing easier and faster application and support services to members of the military charity, which is dedicated to the conservation of ex military vehicles from the UK and overseas.

We are a charity run by volunteers with a rising membership base. To be able to grow, it has been important for us to get to grips with the increasing demands of handling personal data, running the membership database and the timely delivery of membership cards.

MVT membership cards are being despatched from Novacroft’s production bureau within 24 hours, enabling members to benefit from them almost three weeks sooner than before.

The first membership card produced in Novacroft’s card production bureau was for Peter Proctor, a 98 year old former Hurricane pilot who served during World War II. Peter was recently made an honorary MVT member and received his card at a presentation at his Mid Lancs branch. For Peter and the charity’s other 5000+ members across the country, the new online features mean they can apply and manage their information online, anytime, that costs should remain low and that cards are in their hands within just a few days of application.

The new technology behind the membership platform and support services, which have been developed in line with new General Data Protection (GDPR) regulations, has delivered more robust data controls to MVT, meaning a significant reduction of the risk of data breach within the charity’s internal processes and, most importantly, for the people it serves.

The new developments are equipping MVT for continued growth, member engagement and customer satisfaction in the digital age.
